The fusion of body and computer has been studied intensively over the last decades, both by researchers and artists, who,via digital technology, attempt to expand the abilities of the body, physically and mentally.
The research project Modular Robotic Wearable (MRW) at the Center for Playware, marks out a new direction within this research, where body and movements are combined with modular robotics that can be attached to the body or the clothes.
The MRW concept is basic research on the correlation between body, technology and reality, and on a future basis, the research is expected to find its use within sports, health, art and entertainment.
