Silvia Tolu fra Center for Playware has been granted with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (IF-EF) funded by the European Commission under Horizon 2020.

The project (Title: A Biomimetic Learning Control Scheme for control of Modular Robots) is going to be developed at the Center for Playware, Department of Electrical Engineering of DTU, with a run time of two years and will benefit from collaborations with other international research groups (UGR and TUM). The research goal is to discover important insights into the modular structure of the cerebellum, and its involvement in processing the sensory input for motor control tasks. Novel modular robots, such as Fable, will benefit from a novel bio-inspired computational learning model to perform desired, task-fulfilling behaviors. By providing multiple relevant contributions across the spectrum of the H2020 objectives in terms of its potential to advance robotic manufacturing, brain processing understanding, and novel computing paradigms, this project will enable the Center for Playware to gain a relevant position at the forefront of advances in these fields.
