The award was given based on Professor Lund’s and our Center for Playware researchers’ innovative development of Moto Tiles. The Global Award comes just weeks after our Center for Playware has also been celebrated winning the Asia-Pacific Eldercare Innovation Award 2019 in Singapore for Innovation of the Year – Dementia solution, and winning the SilverEco and Ageing Well International Award in Tokyo.
"It is an honor to be named the most outstanding healthcare innovator in the World, and more than anything, it is a fantastic recognition of all the playware researchers, who have participated in the research over the last decade..."
Henrik Hautop Lund
Winners of The Globals Over 50's Housing Healthcare awards, which were founded in 1998, are selected by an independent panel of more than 20 global newspaper publishers who cover the global residential services, health-related services and innovations, and technology sectors. The philosophy of the Global Awards panel is to recognise the best exemplar in the world and/or the service provider who has most advanced service levels or innovation.
“It is an honor to be named the most outstanding healthcare innovator in the World, and more than anything, it is a fantastic recognition of all the playware researchers, who have participated in the research over the last decade to bring us to this point, when citizens all around the globe are taking advantage of the Moto Tiles innovation to retain, regain, and increase their physical and cognitive skills. The real pleasure for us is to see the profound impact that our long-term research and development of the Moto Tiles has on people’s lives in the global society, and to continue to work for creating such good impact in society.” says professor Henrik Hautop Lund.
